Food is personal, from what we like to how we like it. You asked for more options—and we like to deliver. Now, we’re making it easier to customize select recipes on our Signature for 2 and 4 menus. From the growing teen to the heart-healthy dad, we want to meet your family’s needs. Swap, add, or upgrade your proteins for an upcharge, and look for more customization options in the future.
The choice is all yours—because every home cook is different (and that’s a good thing).
Customization options will be available to all customers in December.
Want to exchange that meat for tofu, or those potatoes for veggies? Done. Want to try something new? Swap that pasta for chickpea pasta. Whether it’s dietary restrictions or the desire to try something new, everyone has their preferences—what are yours?
You told us you wanted more food, so we made it happen. Now you can choose to bulk up your recipes with more protein, veggies, or grains and pastas. We always want you to feel satisfied (and leftovers are delicious, too).
Just like you, we have high standards. All our ingredients are high quality and come from trusted suppliers, but you may prefer to step things up. Upgrade that steak for a select cut and amp dinner up a bit.

Swapped, added, or upgraded proteins will cost between $0.95 and $5.95 more per serving, depending on the size and type.

While Blue Apron Customized will be available to some customers starting the week of 10/26, it will be available to all customers by December. Also, you’ll soon be able to customize starches and veggies (as described above) in addition to proteins.
