CARB CONSCIOUS
These Prepared and Ready dishes contain at least 25% less sodium per 100 grams (or 3.5 oz) than our average Prepared and Ready Meal as of October 1, 2024. Sodium content has been reduced from 330 mg per 100 grams to 250 mg per 100 grams. These dishes focus on ingredients with strong flavor and moderate salt.
This applies to meal kit recipes with 45g or less of net carbs (total carbs minus dietary fiber) per serving, and Prepared & Ready meals with 30g or less of net carbs per serving. They typically replace refined carbohydrates from sources like white flour, rice, and cane sugar with high-fiber foods like fresh vegetables, fruits, and whole grains.

PROTEIN
These recipes and pre-made meals contain 600 calories or less per serving. The US Food & Drug Administration uses 2000 calorie daily intake for general advice. The 600 calorie cap equates to 30% of the total 2000 calories per day based on 3 meals per day with 200 calories remaining for snack or beverage.
This applies to meal kit recipes with 45g or more of protein per serving, and Prepared & Ready meals with 30g or more per serving. They are ideal for those looking to focus their meals around protein intake.

These recipes are selected by Blue Apron’s Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. They are centered around nutritious and wholesome ingredients, featuring whole grains and fresh produce which provide fiber. They also contain moderate portions of dairy and lean protein while being mindful of saturated fat.
The Mediterranean-style diet is a way of eating based on the traditional cuisine of countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea. These PnR meals highlight vegetables, whole grains, legumes, lean proteins and Mediterranean flavors.

Does Blue Apron offer diet-friendly or allergy-friendly recipes?
We accommodate a variety of dietary preferences in our recipes including vegetarian, carb-conscious, and 600 calories or less. If you don’t eat meat, you can select from our fish, seafood, or poultry offerings and personalize your menu each week based on your preferences. Allergens are designated in the online Nutrition Facts Panel for each recipe that can be viewed at your point-of-purchase and on the package label of ingredients that we deliver in your box. Note that all of our boxes are assembled in a facility that processes all eight major food allergens. Check with your healthcare provider to determine if Blue Apron is suitable for your lifestyle.
Where does Blue Apron source ingredients?
The quality and freshness of our ingredients are incredibly important to us, so we work directly with reputable suppliers that support sustainable practices and engage with artisanal purveyors and family-run farms for some of our specialty ingredients.
Can I skip my delivery for a particular week?
Yes, you can skip upcoming deliveries up to 5 weeks in advance and skip any delivery until the order is processed (3-5 days before delivery date).
